Which professional skills do students learn in engineering team-based projects?

چکیده

Engineering accreditation bodies express a strong consensus that in addition to technical and scientific skills, engineering education also needs promote the development of professional skills. In general, team-based projects are considered be valuable approaches develop such skills have been extensively added curricula. Yet, it remains unclear which what extent students learn from these interventions. The challenge assessing those is an important factor this gap. paper, we used standardised self-reporting questionnaire evaluate students' self-efficacy beliefs through in-course capstone projects. Results suggest only marginally when they not explicitly addressed as part project, showing ways more effectively support student learning proved effective scalable way assess large classes.
